Hello we just got back from taking her to see Santa. I think the pictures turned out great. Santa gave her a candy cane and she was a happy camper.
I can’t wait till this Saturday it’s going to be great!
In other news we went to the doctor today and got an update on her progress. she’s now 18lbs and is almost 22 inches tall! She’s also doing great and super mobile now. She’s completely crawling and starting to stand. she’s still pretty wobbly standing and tends to fall a lot but hasn’t broken skin yet. she usually just wants a hug when she falls and hits her head and then she’s back to climbing on whatever she can get her hands on.
It’s Marisela’s First thanksgiving so I’m starting it off right. I put on the Macy’s Parade for her and she’s loving it. Every song she dances and tries to sing along. It’s absolutely the cutest thing. I’ve snuck some pictures while she’s dancing along to the tv. Hope you enjoy them

So hard to believe just how fast time flies. 5 months have gone by in what felt like both an eternity and a second.
It just amazes me how much she’s grown and changed. And then to top it all off she said her first words this week. “da da” although she really just likes to rub it in so she says “da da da da da da da”. Oh well I’m sure she will say mama soon.
I can already tell she’s taking after her daddy and she’s going to be a talker. She can spend hours just looking at you and having this really intense conversation that only she understands. Between the two of them I may never get a word in again.
but I’m going to love every second of it.
Here’s a picture of her from this week. I love how she poses for me.
I also caught a picture of her laughing. I love how chubby her cheeks get when ever she laughs. Makes me want to tickle her all the time.

Today and Last Saturday Marisela and I both experienced a first. Our First Training Camp. Joe normally goes to 1 training camp in the preseason. but I dragged him to 2 and he went to the first one by himself. When he told me that the players signed autographs after training was over we had a wonderful idea. We took one of Marisela’s redskins onesies and we would get it signed by as many players are we could. We choose the “Born to be a Redskins Fan” onesie for 2 reasons first reason she’s outgrown it. It took some work to get the snaps at the bottom to snap. the second reason is that we originally purchased this onesie to take her home from the hospital in but because of a slight problem (we accidentally sent all her newborn clothes to storage when we moved in with my grandmother) she wasn’t able to wear it until we moved to Frederick. So I thought it would be nice to get this one signed. We plan on putting it in a frame and up on her wall.
Training Camp was actually a lot of fun! I didn’t really pay any attention to the actual practicing because I can barely follow during a real game forget trying to figure out what they are doing when they are just practicing. So i walked around trying to find fun things to do. While i was walking around I saw these fake football players that you stick your head and take pictures. I really wanted to do it on Saturday but there was a HUGE line. So this morning when I dragged Joe back out (we only got 1 signature on Saturday and that’s not good enough) we got to take pictures. These turned out soooo cute!
The great thing about getting a baby signed is that I can scream out “Sign my baby” and they almost always come by and sign her!

We’re back on the bus and so far so good. They let me on the bus early so I got to pick my seat and i chose a low table seat. We have space and there are cup holders for her bottle.
Right now she’s asleep. She’s been realy sleepy for the last 2 hours but I wouldn’t let her sleep. Hopefuly that thinking doesn’t comeback and bite me in the butt

After a super fast and long at the same time trip up to NYC. It’s finally time to head back home. Marisela LOVED it up here. But that has to do a big part of all the attention she got up here.
I was worried that she would be to much for my aunt but after a day I was no longer worried and the way Marisela lit up every morning when I droped her off took all fears away.
It made me realize that I need to take her out on more trips and that she realy loves the park.
I took so many pictures I will start making many blog posts starting tomorrow. Maybe even on the trip home if Marisela behaves
Here’s Marisela with my aunt and uncle who were watching her during the week while I was at work.

Yesterday was a pretty crappy day for me but a wonderful day for Marisela. My aunt Rosa took her to the botanical garden. Something even I haven’t been able to do so I’m soo jealous
According to my aunt she played by the lake. And whenever some of the other kids there laughed and screamed she joined in. And then after she had her fill she took a nap on a blanket on the ground and then did it all over again. They pretty much spent all day in the park.
I worked a little late so by the time I got home I put her in her PJs and she was asleep for the rest of the night. So that sucked for me but I could tell she had fun.
I wish I had pictures of the actual day in the park but these pictures were from my cousin rosy when she came to say hello. Marisela was knocked out but eventually woke up to say hello.

While I was making my Shrine post I realized that my post from yesterday disappeared. So I’m reposting!!
Since I have to work all week I really wanted to take Marisela out at least one place over the weekend. So Abuella and I deiced to make an outing over to Chinatown to buy my favorite sweet bread for the week. Marisela LOVED when we took her down the stairs she was smiling, laughing and just having a good ol time with all the bumps like she was on a ride. I tried to take pictures actually outside in Chinatown but I couldn’t because there was just way too many people.
It was quite hot in the subway so about 5 minutes into the trip i took off her pants and shoes to try and keep her cool. As the heat kept coming her hair got curlier and curlier till it was just one big curly mess on her head.
Marisela is loving all the attention up here. She hasn’t been put down at all and she’s not complaining at all with constantly being carried.
I added in some fun comments on what i think she’s saying.

Yum My fingers taste sooo good.

MAybe if i keep moving around you won’t take anymore pictures.

Woah did you see how fast that train went!

Why Do you keep taking my picture?

I’m done for the day!
Since this week I’m working away from Marisela during the day I made a nice shrine to both her and Joe in my cubicle so i don’t get homesick.
Also I downloaded this pretty cool camera filter for my iPhone. So my posts from now on will be all artistic looking
